This is a follow-up to yesterday's project on nail art accessories.

So I decided to get some black and white perspex at a local advertising banner maker to do some test shots on small products. Walk up to the boss and asked,"Do you sell loose white and black perspex sheets?". Blank look. "Erm... acrylic?" No go. I looked around and saw some ready made car number plates on black perspex and point it out to the boss. Boss went, " Oh.. you want plastic is it? Got got got.. how big you want?" So I decided to get some plastic sheets. They're not cheap, but not too expensive either and if I could make them, I would (and I've made a fair bit of gadgets for myself, Andrew can attest to that) but hey... this is as good as it gets. 3 sheets of 1 X 1 foot white ones for diffusing lights, and a black 20in square for placing product to get that squeaky clean reflection. All for RM60. Below are some samples.

Before you ask, yes, these photos are touched up, but only because it's difficult to keep lint and cat hair our of the easily-electrostatic-charged sheets, the perils of a cat owning photographer. So the post-pro are done to remove specks and dusts, and hair. No level or curve adjustments made whatsoever.

In lieu of RM200,000 Patek Philips, I guess my badly scratched Fossil will have to do for now.
