Professional experience2004 - Current - Independent interface/web designer I'm the co-founder of fotomentary, a free online photography magazine to share my passion in photography with fellow local shutterbugs. Fotomentary is now a full fledge commercial photography too, and have successfully worked with a clientele from a wide range of industries. Working with Nikon Malaysia as Product Evangelists, Andrew Boey and I give free workshops to help Nikon users with their equipment, and to promote the use of Nikon equipment and promote healthy interest in digital photography. We've successfully held "Shoot Like A Pro" workshops in local higher institutions such as Sunway College and KDU. My overseas working experience includes Beijing and New Zealand (1 year, in capacity of web designer handling webdesign and interface needs of a mid-size NZ college implementing eLearning. I shoot commercial photo assignments with Andrew now when I'm not running my own web design company, Pixel Agent Studio. 1996 - 2004 I worked in the web design field specialising in interface design and icon development. Working for 2 web development companies (Silicon Media and Neuronet); I helped design and develop some of the prominent companies in Malaysia such as Sapura Communications, Malaysia Airlines, MICCI, Malaysia Chemicals and many others. I moved on to eLearning in its early development, working in a pioneering eLearning company AEC Edutech where I lead a team of interactive designers to produce multimedia eLearning contents and helped developed custom eLearning delivery tool, from early planning to interfaceand icon design. During this period of time I worked on interactive contents for a host of local and international learning institutions such as UUIM, UPM, MMI and others. |
